Product Description Portable Dehumidifier - PORTABLE DEHUMIDIFIER. Removes up to 30 pints of moisture per day. Easy access top-mounted controls. Automatic defrost controls
Amazon.com Review This solidly constructed, stylish-looking dehumidifier features a powerful reciprocating compressor and castor wheels, which make it easy to move from room to room. Drying out musty bedrooms, bathrooms, or kitchens doesn't take long with the dehumidifier's ability to extract up to 30 pints of moisture out of the air per day. An indicator warns when its 6-1/2-liter-capacity water tank is full, while automatic overflow protection shuts the device down until the water bucket is emptied. For efficiency, its humidistat sensor automatically maintains desired humidity levels, and for added convenience, its upward dry-air outlet allows for drying clothes. An easy-access carbon filter fits neatly in the back. The unit measures 16-1/2 by 12 by 26-3/4 inches. --Catie Unger

A Thirsty Beast January 11, 2005 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I can't claim much previous experience with dehumidifiers, but this one did the job, and did it well. I used this thirsty beast to help suck up the excess water of a truly gross basement flood, and it made a big difference in the clean-up and with the general air quality. The set-up was simple, the 30-pint container was substantial, and there were no mechanical failures of any kind, in spite of the fact that I ran the dehumidifier pretty much non-stop.
Obviously, if you've suffered a huge amount of water damage, or you're living in the middle of a swamp or something, you'll want to think about a larger model, but I strongly recommend this brand.
AWESOME!!!! August 4, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Works GREAT!!! Pulls water out of the air like you wouldn't believe. I have a damp basement, and before I attached the drain hose, I had to empty the tank 3-4 times a day. Worth every penny.
Great machine! July 28, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I never had heard of the Windchaser brand but decided to take a chance on one of their dehumidifiers. The price was one of the best at the time. It works very well in our basement. We live in a high humidity area and have to empty the bucket once a day. The noise level is fairly quiet. I would recommend this unit to anyone.
Works Very Well July 16, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We used this in the lower level of a split level home. It got pretty damp at times and this worked very well. I think it's an excellent untit and would recommend it.
Great product for the price August 30, 2006 This product drains water like you would not believe. I live in the South San Francisco area which is not that humid but I have to empty the container 4 times a day.
Only complain is when Amazon.com sent me the product the product box was damage, lucky the goods where ok.
