Got rid of mold pronto August 18, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this dehumidifier in February to get rid of mold growing in one of my closets. After a few days of sucking all the dampness out of that small space, the mold went away. The unit is still perfectly functional after 6 months of use in other spaces around the house.
my dehumidifier is up and running July 12, 2008 I owned another windchaser for over 2 yrs and was unable to find a replacement. The unit is the size of a toaster, which fits into my small living space, and extracts over 2 cups of moisture a week! The price is reasonable and the shipping was free. I received it within a week.
didn't last long February 25, 2006 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
I purchased this mini dehudifier in Dec. of '05. It worked well for a few hours. Then the fan stopped working. I then returned it and was given a full refund.
I would rather not to give it any star if there were such a choice March 26, 2006 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
Very poor quality, and over-priced.
I bought it on Jan 2006, only used it slightly for a few hours, but it stopped working on the very 31st day.
It has a poorly designed adaptor almost as big as the dehumidifier itself; It is too small and too weak to be put in any room; with only one foot high, it makes huge noises when working.
I am really disappointed with this product.
I'd give minus 5 stars if I could... August 12, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
The first time I plugged it in this thing worked for all of 30 seconds - no exaggeration. After that the fan stopped running and the blinking light came on the adaptor. That green blinking light is the ONLY fully functional feature of this truly crappy product. It never ran again. My main issue, however, is not so much that the thing doesn't actually work - things are faulty, I can live with that. When I called the company to find out what the problem was all I got was an automated message telling me to call back between 2 & 5pm Pacific time (I live on the East Coast). During those hours I got the same message and ended up leaving 2 subsequent email messages - as suggested by their answer machine. You will never speak to a human here. Nor will they return your emails. I also think you should be aware that the company will not accept returns to them, you have to do it through Amazon - which also doesn't bother me, it just shows they're also too lazy to get their junk back.
