This device delivers exactly what you want from a White Noise machine. Noise. There are plenty of options, all easily distinguishable, to listen to, and the option to have the noise stop after an hour or continue unabated. Easy instructions and controls make this a great item for the price.

We bought this product to use in our daughter's room (she's less than a year old). We had previously used a small desktop fan on the floor to "white noise" out the house sounds (we have hardwood floors throughout the house and everything sounds like it's happening just outside the door). While the fan was okay, this is MUCH better.
It's smaller, lighter weight and I was happy to get rid of the fan since it cooled the room down considerably (something we didn't need in the middle of winter in New England). We bought a second one for our room. Our home is close to the highway and at night it now feels like we are miles away from the busy road.
I also like the battery/plug option. It'll be handy for when we travel.
This is going to be the baby shower gift I give from now on!

Nice sound machine. Lots of options, including white noise which is sometimes hard to find on these machines. Love the volume control. That is a big plus. It's also fairly small so it doesn't take up a huge amount of room on my son's dresser.

I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this product. I love everything about it; ease of use, variety of sounds to choose from, option to set timer or leave on all night. This has improved my sleeping experience, helping me to fall asleep faster and get back to sleep in the middle of the night. I highly recommend the Conair SU1W Sound Therapy to anyone who suffers from insomnia.

I ordered two of these for my office spaces and have enjoyed peace in my work area since. I don't hear a lot of the loud hallway noise that distracted me before and patrons no longer overhear my conversations. In fact, I was tickled to find that they will say "What?" to me more now than I do to them (I'm hard of hearing). The White Noise option is too invasive for my liking, but my co-worker said that Running Stream sounds so real as it echoes off the hallways when my door is open. I enjoy the crickets in Summer Night, but I keep Running Stream for a more consistent sound that I know others enjoy as well. Final Note: My 16-yr-old son was at my office shortly after I got them and begged me to get one for his room. He has always been edgy in the dark and needs his radio on all the time. So I will be ordering three more very soon - one for his room, one for my daughter's (age 14), and one for mine for when the air conditioner isn't needed again.
