Work Quite Well August 19, 2007 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
These bulbs basically work as expected. The light is pretty warm and near indistinguishable from that of an incandescent bulb. Like all compact fluorescents, these take a few seconds to "warm up" to maximum brightness, but they turn on instantly. Besides the substantial energy savings and longer lifespan, these bulbs produce much less ambient heat than incandescents, meaning they aren't fighting my air conditioner if I'm trying to cool my apartment, and the metal shade of my bedside lamp stays cool to the touch.
Great Value here! May 13, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Fabulous. These bulbs will outlast regular incadescent bulbs 10 fold. They save money and they are COOL to use, no heat. They are quiet, no buzzing, not even with your ear to the bulb. They are bright, and cost less than 1/4 to illuminate as regular bulbs. Use them in those hard to reach locations like the garage ceiling. You will not need to get out that ladder to change them for likely 15 years. The savings, the convenience, the advantages make this deal stellar. Order 1 set of 4 and you will be back (like me).
Initial expense, but worth the buy. April 8, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
It cost around $250 to replace the lights in my 2000 sq ft house. The light is at least as bright, if not brighter, than the old light bulbs. Here in expesnive Southern California, the savings will be worth it.
5 stars not enough August 24, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ok... so they take a fraction of a second to kick on when you hit the switch, and OH NO you can't use them on a dimmer. But unlike most CFL's I've seen and/or used, they don't have that annoying blue hue to them! They're brighter, use less energy, and best of all, give nearly the same color light as an incandescent!
Buy these bulbs, save some money on your power bill, brighten up your home, and reduce your carbon output!!! Whatever you believe regarding global warming, save some money on your power bills and go to sleep happy! :)
The bulb is good. December 18, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The bulbs are fine. But they are not packed properly. They are loose in a box with inflated plastic packets, so they are touching each other. Then packed in a larger box. One of the bulbs was broken. Amazon replaced it with no problem.
